Just days after losing all four of his major sponsors, Ryan Lochte has found a bit of redemption and signed a new endorsement deal with Pine Bros. Softish Cough Drops.

"Just as Pine Bros. is forgiving to your throat, the company asks the public for a little forgiveness for an American swimming legend," the company said in a statement, according to NBC.

AdWeek reports Lochte will appear in both print and television ads for the brand, all of which will feature the tagline, "Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops: Forgiving On Your Throat." Lochte later took to Twitter to express his gratitude to the company for taking a chance on him.

"Thanks to all the folks at pine bros. for your confidence in me," he wrote. "I look forward to making you proud."

Over the last week, Lochte's world has seemingly crumbled at his feet after it was revealed he had lied to authorities about being robbed at gunpoint alongside his U.S. swimming teammates Jimmy Feigen, Gunnar Bentz, and Jack Conger in Rio. On Thursday, he was officially charged with filing a false police report by Rio authorities — but Pine Bros. has insisted the incident shouldn't define the swimmer.

"We all make mistakes, but they're rarely given front-page scrutiny," Pine Bros. Chief Executive Rider McDowell continued in the same statement announcing the endorsement deal. "He's a great guy who has done incredible work with charities. I'm confident that Pine Bros. fans will support our decision to give Ryan a second chance."
