Yesterday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had their very first engagement of 2019, and Meghan looked in-cred-ible. The Duchess (who's known for typically wearing darker colors) stepped out in a bright red coat by Sentaler paired with a purple Aritizia dress—which we can all agree is a pretty unique color combination.

But, turns out these colors were a sartorial favorite of Princess Diana's, and it's pretty clear that Meghan was paying homage to her late mother-in-law. Not only did Diana wear this distinctive combo during a trip to Thailand in 1988:
