In March, Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins confirmed Kristen Wiig's role in the superhero sequel, 1984. Now, over three months later, she just gave a first look at Gal Gadot's character Diana's nemesis, Barbara Minerva — the archaeologist behind super villain Cheetah.

In the photo, the comedian is staring at stuffed animals (not the cute kind) through her wire-rimmed glasses. Wiig's look is super 80's, which makes sense considering that's when the movie is set, and the oversized sweater and button-up skirt are definitely giving a retro feel. It looks like she's standing in the middle of museum display. Jenkins did tell Entertainment Weekly that the second movie will be set in the good ol' United States of America, but there hasn't been any info about which city just yet.

In the comics, Minerva was extremely jealous of Wonder Woman and was obsessed with the golden Amazonian relics she possessed. She gained the power to transform into a half-human half-cheetah creature through a rare chemical that guaranteed her immortality. She's also supposed to be British, which could means Kristen Wiig may try out an accent for the movie.

This is Kristen Wiig's first time starring in any superhero film either in the D.C. or Marvel universes. No details have been given regarding the plot of Wonder Woman 1984, but anything with these two in action is going to be good. And, of course, Chris Pine wears a fanny pack.
