Gymnast Aly Raisman and the women of Team USA have proven that you can basically take over the world without guys around. If U.S. women were competing as their own country, they would have placed third overall. But hey, if your insane levels of success get you a date with a hot fellow athlete as a perk, that's not too bad of a deal, right?
In a video for Yahoo! Sports, Raisman talked about how fellow gymnasts Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson have been fighting over who is going to set her up with a date first. It looks like Johnson wins this one. At the end of the video, Raisman got asked out by Colton Underwood, a tight end for the Oakland Raiders and a teammate of Johnson's husband, Andrew East. "They've actually told me about him before," Raisman reacted. "He's very cute. Yeah, I would go out on a date with him."
Raisman's gymnastics tour comes through San Jose in September, so the two of them are making plans to meet up then and tweeting adorably about it.
Underwood is definitely a little corny putting himself out there in front of everyone, even if Johnson was the one who put him up to it. But all is excused once you look at his adorable Instagram feed, which is full of him posing with adoptable dogs, working with his cystic fibrosis charity, and bringing his mom as his date to events.
And hey, if they end up on a really boring date, they can just sit there and compare their ridiculous abs.
