• Royal author Phil Dampier claims Queen Elizabeth will feel “desperately betrayed” by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s court documents.
  • The docs reveal Meghan felt “unprotected” by the royal family during her pregnancy.

New court documents were just made public from Meghan Markle’s lawsuit against the Mail on Sunday, revealing she felt “unprotected” by the royal family during her pregnancy—and apparently, the Queen isn’t expected to take this revelation well.

Royal author Phil Dampier told The Telegraph (via The Express), “I think the Queen is going to be absolutely devastated by this. She’ll cope with it but she will feel desperately betrayed. She broke with protocol to invite Meghan to Christmas at Sandringham before they were married, and the couple ended up with a beautiful multimillion-pound home in the middle of Windsor Great Park. Some will be wondering: What more did they want?”

I mean, to be fair to Meghan and Harry, just because they got a Christmas invite and a fancy house doesn’t invalidate their feelings about how the royals handled the many UK tabloid stories about Meghan.

As the court documents, obtained by E! News, put it: “[Meghan Markle] had become the subject of a large number of false and damaging articles by the UK tabloid media, specifically by the [Mail on Sunday], which caused tremendous emotional distress and damage to her mental health. As her friends had never seen her in this state before, they were rightly concerned for her welfare, specifically as she was pregnant, unprotected by the Institution, and prohibited from defending herself.”

Honestly, no one should be questioning Meghan’s feelings about reading mean stories during her pregnancy, not even the Queen, sorry!
