Remember in 2010 when Heidi Montag had a series of dramatic plastic surgeries over the course of 24 hours? Well turns out the procedures were so extreme that her heart briefly stopped.

"Spencer thought he lost me," Heidi told Paper Magazine. "I died for a minute. With that much surgery, I had to have 24-hour nurse care and Spencer didn't want to leave my side. I was at a recovery center and had Demerol [a highly addictive narcotic] to deal with the pain because it was so extreme."

Heidi's elective surgeries included: A mini brow lift; botox in the forehead and frown lines; a nose job revision; liposuction on hips, waist, inner thighs, and neck; fat injections in the cheeks, lips, and nasolabial folds (aka those lines between the nose and outer corners of the mouth); chin reduction; ears pinned back; breast augmentation revision; and butt augmentation, according to People magazine.

Wait, but let's go back to that "I died for a minute" thing, because WHAT?! "My security guards called Spencer and told him, 'Heidi's heart stopped. She's not going to make it,'" she explained. "And I easily could've. Cutting yourself up isn't something I'd recommend, and Demerol isn't anything to play around with. That's how Michael Jackson died."

Heidi says the near-death experience put her life in perspective:"I had to look at myself in the mirror every day healing, and be like, 'What did I do to myself? How did I get here? What is going on?," she explained, adding "A lot of positive things came out of that...I basically had to hit that rock-bottom moment in my life, to realize what was important to me."
