Those with internet access are aware "Mama June" Shannon of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fame recently lost hundreds of pounds. She revealed that weight loss on her new show Mama June: From Not to Hot last week. Among critics of the new show (many of whom believe she was wearing a fat suit for some of the filming) is her estranged daughter Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, E! News reports.
"I think she did it just to be more famous," Anna said. "I don't think she did it just for her because she never mentioned anything ever before about getting plastic surgery."
Anna admits her mother was successful in that way: "Mama did get herself out there to get another show ... I don't think she did it or anything for herself. If she would have done it for herself, she would have tried to lose the weight a long time ago," she continued. In fact, Anna, too, would like to be on TV again, she said. She misses it!
The 22-year-old has been estranged from her mother since 2014 when she came forward as the victim of convicted child molester Mark McDaniel, who was June's boyfriend at the time.
