I know that I am super late to this party, but I have recently fallen wholeheartedly in love with BTS, and I really need to talk about it. I’m not too worried about my late arrival though. I guess I’m just Jimin today. If you’re not a proud member of the BTS ARMY, I’ll fill you in on this little inside joke. Jimin is one of the members of the band who is infamously late to everything. When the other six guys are going to be late, they say, “I’m Jimin today.” Yeah, there’s a lot to learn here. I have a lot of feelings about BTS, so please keep scrolling.

First of all, they’re the seven dreamiest human beings to ever walk the earth.

I don’t care how dramatic this sounds. It’s a scientific fact, proven through a very official experiment by yours truly. Consider this: Have you ever tried to take a photo with more than, like, three of your friends? It’s impossible. At least 30 percent of you just aren’t going to look good. But each member of BTS knows his damn angles, and all seven of them always look equally perfect every single time.

Seriously, even when you’re a zillion rows away from BTS in an arena with 100,000 screaming fans, a wink from Jin or a Jimin lip bite will make you feel like the only person in the whole world. It’s almost like a solar eclipse. Except instead of risking permanent eye damage by peeking, you risk becoming ridiculously obsessed with this boy band.

Their music is catchier than the common cold.

Oh, you haven’t tried listening to K-Pop yet because you don’t understand Korean? Trust me, that’s a nonissue. I know that “music is a universal language” is a cliché cheesy enough to be a high school yearbook quote, but it’s true. Listen to “Idol” and hit me up in two weeks when it’s finally unstuck from your brain.

The music videos are CINEMATIC MASTERPIECES.

Like, I literally feel as though Apple needs to invent a higher-quality iPhone just so I can watch these babies on the device they deserve. Every single still from each video is aesthetically pleasing enough to set as your desktop wallpaper.

Warning: If you start searching for BTS music videos on YouTube...you will eventually fall into an internet hole of conspiracy theories. Please be safe out there.

They will go down in history as fashion icons.

No shade to Timothée Chalamet or Harry Styles, but I think it is time to officially crown BTS as the kings of printed suits. RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, V, Suga, and J-Hope can turn looks around like I’ve never seen before.

I’m a huge Justin Timberlake fan, but even I can admit that his Canadian tuxedo days have not aged well. I’m willing to bet that BTS’s denim-on-denim looks won’t make us cringe in 20 years. It is physically impossible for any of them to have a bad outfit!

I mean, if the market weren’t already so saturated, I would go ahead and start my own BTS outfits Instagram account. There are even fans who create fake Gucci campaigns with photos of V (who is known for having a closet full of Princetown loafers) in hopes that they’ll make him the face of the brand.

Oh, and the DANCING!

My calf muscles hurt just thinking about how much BTS must practice their dance moves. The choreography for “Boy With Luv” is so incredible because they’re somehow able to look laid-back and chill while pulling off an amazing performance. How do they each hop the exact same distance with each beat? It honestly hurts my brain. I love it so much.

Plus, they have a world of inside jokes with their fans.

I really can’t get into this extensively because we would be here all day, but BTS is seriously dedicated to their fans. To keep it short, I’ll leave you with this visual. The cutest fun fact I learned today was that Jimin lets fans measure their pinkie fingers against his to see whose is smaller because he is SO TINY. Are you shrieking? I am shrieking.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be investigating the meaning behind the Snickers bar in the “Fake Love” music video while I stream Map of the Soul: Persona on repeat.
